The Design
This dynamic piece was designed by an architect following a conversation with a cigar enthusiast who commented that there weren’t any cool humidor designs.
Considering popular tropical regions of tobacco production, the concept of a rising snake inspired the design. Although there are no cobras in popular tobacco regions, La Vibora or “the viper” was born in the image of a cobra’s hood.
The function of the ducted, conditioned cigar basin and liquor cabinet storage below is balanced by the curved decorative hood establishing the signature silhouette. The play on textures with wood, metal, glass and leather all comes together in this unique piece.
The Designer
I am an architect living in the Atlanta metro area. With over 20 years of designing high-rise hotels, highrise office buildings, convention centers & mixed-use master planning, I have been designing and building furniture since I was a teenager.
My interest is designing functional art with the discerning eye of the connoisseur in mind. One of my favorite quotes is “God is in the details” by the famous architect Mies van der Rohe, that drives my interest for design discovery.
I am also an avid world traveler and motorsports enthusiast.
